Produced by Chateau Tanunda in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, the 50 Year Old Vines Shiraz is sourced from low-yielding Shiraz vines planted over half a century ago, primarily in the Vine Vale parish. These mature vines produce intensely flavoured fruit with depth and structure. The grapes are hand-picked, fermented in open fermenters with regular hand-plunging, then basket pressed and matured for around 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels to enhance complexity while preserving the rich Barossa fruit character.

Aroma: Intense blackberry, mulberry, and blueberry aromas with hints of anise, mint, and spice.
Palate: Rich dark fruits including plum and blackberry layered with chocolate, liquorice, and warming spice.
